About Beyond 6S Consulting
Built on the Floor. Not in a Boardroom.
15 years supplying a live Honda production line taught me one thing: there is no room for theory when the line is running.
The Background
From Honda's Production Line to Your Warehouse Floor
For 15 years I worked as Distribution Manager at Honda Logistics UK, responsible for supplying a live production line with the exact car parts needed to build Honda Civics and CR-Vs. Every day, across two shifts, we averaged 750 cars. That's a part arriving at the right station, at the right time, in the right quantity — or the line stops. No excuses. No second chances.
That environment doesn't tolerate waste, disorganisation, or poor culture. It demands precision systems, disciplined teams, and managers who lead from the front. I didn't learn warehouse management from a textbook — I learned it under real production pressure, at scale, with accountability built into every single process.
After 15 years, I relocated to Melbourne and saw the same problems playing out in warehouses across the city: inefficient layouts, untrained staff, reactive management, and a culture that had quietly accepted mediocrity. I knew I could fix that.

Why Beyond 6S?
6S is the foundation — Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardise, Sustain, Safety. It's the Japanese methodology that transformed manufacturing, and it works. But in 15 years on a production line, I watched 6S implementations fail. Not because the methodology was wrong. Because the culture underneath it was broken.
Efficiency without culture reverts.
You can reorganise a warehouse in a week. Without a culture of ownership and accountability, it looks the same as before within 90 days. I've seen it happen. That's why culture isn't an add-on — it's the foundation.
Management sets the ceiling.
The best-trained team in the world will underperform under reactive, inconsistent management. Coaching your managers isn't a soft skill — it's the highest-leverage investment you can make in your operation.
People are the system.
Your processes are only as good as the people running them. Staff training, clear expectations, and genuine investment in your team are what separate a warehouse that works from one that just survives.
How I Work
No Jargon. No Fluff. Just Results.
I work directly with warehouse managers, operations directors, and business owners. I come to your site, walk your floor, and tell you exactly what I see — the good and the bad. Then we build a plan together and I help you execute it. No 200-page reports that gather dust. No generic frameworks copy-pasted from a template. Real, specific, actionable work.
Discovery Call
Free 30-minute conversation. I ask the right questions, you tell me what's actually happening on the floor.
Site Assessment
I walk your warehouse. I observe your processes, your team, your layout. I document what I find — no filter.
Improvement Plan
A clear, prioritised action plan. Not a wish list — a ranked sequence of changes with expected outcomes.
Implementation
I work alongside your team to implement the changes. Training, coaching, process design — hands-on, not hands-off.
